The post utme of most universities have been cancelled
(except those that have written)
Many aspirants have been wondering how the universities
would use their utme score to get their aggregate
score….many have concluded that they would increase the
utme cutoff to 250,280 or whatsoever. But this is not represent
It is you o'level results that would be used to get your cutoff
C6 – 2pt, c5 – 4pt, c4- 6pt b3- 8pt B2- 10pt A1-12pt
For the 5 o'level subjects required for your course. Each
grade would be represent a point (refer to the quoted text)
above
How to calculate your UI aggregate score
1. Sum up all the points corresponding to the grades you
have in your o'level
2. Divide your utme score by 8
3. Sum up 1 and 2.
4. Divide by 110
5. Multiply by 100
Example
Utme score- 230
O level results-. A1,B2,B3,C4 and C6
1. 230÷8= 29
2. A1= 12 points
B2= 10 points
B3= 8 points
C4= 6 points
C6= 2 points
Total= 38 points
3. 29+38=67
4. 67/110= 0.61
5. 0.61* 100= 61%

NECO June/July SSCE Results For 2016 Released
It has been gathered that the National
Examination Council, (NECO), has released the
2016 June/July Senior School Certificate
Examination (SSCE) results.
According to Prof. Charles Uwakwe, Registrar of
the Council, out of the 1,022,474 who sat for the
examination, 88.51% of candidates obtained at
least five credits including in Mathematics and
English Language.
He further revealed that 905,011 (84.54 per
cent) of candidates got 5 credits and above in
English Language while 812,846 (80.16 percent)
got 5 credits and above in Mathematics.
Ekiti State recorded the highest with 96.48
percent and Katsina State recording the least
with 72.59 percent.
He however noted that 43,905 cases of
malpractice were recorded, with 194 schools
implicated in cases of mass cheating; adding
that the results of candidates involved have
been cancelled.
Candidates are advised to visit the official
NECO website http://www.mynecoexams.com/
results/
to check their results.

CE=0.905mol/dm^3

For the first titration
Burette reading|1|2|3

Initial reading|19.55|10.50|0.00
Volume|19.70|19.30|19.40

Volume of E used=(2nd+3rd)titre/2
=(19.30+19.40)/2
=(38.70/2)cm^3
Volume of E used=19.35cm^3
Hence VE=19.35cm^3
(1bi)
From the information given,
nD=1, nE=2,
CD=?, CE=0.0905mol/dm^3
VD=20.0cm^3, VE=19.35cm^3
Using: CDVD/CEVE=nD/nE
CD=CEVEnD/VDnE
=(0.0905*19.35*1)/(20.0*2)
=1.751175/40
=0.04377
CD=0.0438mol/dm^3
(1bii)
Since 0.04377mol is in 1000cm^3
xmol will be 350cm^3
x=0.04377*35.0/1000
=1.5322/1000
=0.00153mol/dm^3 at 25C
Hence the solubility is 0.00153mol/dm^3
(1biii)
From the stoichiometry
1 mole of Na2CO3 produces 1 mole of CO2
0.00153mol of Na2CO3 produces 0.00153mole of
CO2
mass=molar mass*number of mole
molar mass Na2CO3=23*2+12+16*3
=46+12+48
=106g/mol
mass of CO2=12+16*2
=12+32
=44g/mol
106g Na2CO3 produces 44g of CO2
0.0153*106 will produce y
y=0.153*106*44/106
=0.153*44
y=6.732g of CO2
Hence mass of CO2 produced is 6.732g

OROGRAPHIC RAINFALL
Diagram
FORMATION
It is formed when ascending air mass meet a barrier. The
air masses are forced to rise leading to rainfall in the
windward slope.
8b)
i)It leads to formation of rain fall
ii)It brings about cool and mild weather
iii)It reduces amount of sokar radiation but scattering
harmful ray.
3a)
Temperature is the degree of hotness or coldness of a body
or an object.It is measured with thermometer
3b)
As height or altitudes increases,temperature
decreases.hence for every 100metres of
ascent,temperature decreases by 0.65 degrees celcius or 1
degrees celcius for approximately 160metres of ascent.The
decrease in temperature with increasing elevation is called
lapse rate
3c)
Town A:
Temp=50C
Height=sea level
Town B:
Temp=?
Height=4000m above sea level
Recall 1C=160m
Tb=4000m
(Tb*160)/160=(4000*1)/160
Tb=25C
Therefore the temperature of town B is 25 degrees celcius

(4a)
Weathering is the gradual breaking down or
disintegration of rocks by either physical
(mechanical) or chemical process
(4b)
(i) Hydration
(ii) Oxidation
(iii) Carbonation
(4c)
This occurs in polar and temperate regions of
the world where rocks on high mountains with
cracks or joints collect water or snow in them.
When the temperature drops during the night
or winter, the water in the cracks freezes and
melts during the day or summer. Such repeated
freezing and melting widen and deepen the
cracks which eventually breakdown the rock.
The pieces of rocks which peel off from the rock
surface accumulate at the care of the mountain
to form screes.
